Been using WinRAR 3.80 for years. Version 5 looks much better, and has more features. WinRAR is amazing for compression, and is much better than 7z.

Combine files split to multiple parts with .001, .002, ... extensions. Open .001 file as a usual archive and then unpack its contents.

as many users prefer this file type for big file to upload them

so i need app can handle this

I am already a fan of WinRAR.

All of the features of WinRAR I like very much but it has excellent speed in unpacking zip files with a huge support to many file types. It is light on system resources and also very user friendly which I personally thinks attract the users most. All in all it is a great archiver software with great fully loaded with features.

In fact all the features of WinRAR are great! and I like a lot the new ones added in this new version such as:

1. "File types to open as archives first" option in "Settings/Compression". Here you can define how Enter or double click on a file with non-archive extension and archive contents should be processed in WinRAR file list in file management mode. [this one will save me a lot of time]
2. "Store modification time" option on "Time" page of archiving dialog.
3. "Copy full names to clipboard" command in "File" menu places full names of selected files to clipboard.
4. Improved command line switches and options.

when sharing large files to my friends I usually use the WinRAR split feature, other similar apps also offer such features, but I prefer to use winrar, easy to use and I do not worry my friends will have difficulties when extracting, they can use other applications to extract, now that I'm using version 4.20, I really want to be able to use the latest version of winrar, thank you

Thanks for giveaway. I have been using freeware Haozip but nothing beats the epic WinRAR!
The feature I like best is self-extracting archive, encryption and password protection of archives plus the size of the archive is a bit smaller than the other apps around.
