User Interface:

There is a left sided vertical bar that include 4 Tabs:

Home Tab: include three main areas; on the left side “Record” button, and Format which displays the sound file type and bitrate being used for the recording. on the right side you will find buttons for splitting an active recording, change output folder, switching to minimal interface, and main menu. There is also a “Search field” which lets you easily find specific songs you have recorded.

The main program area on the right side shows your recording listing. There are full information data available for your recordings such as title, size, artist, album, genre, status (active recording , tagging, complete). While a recording is active, you will see a new entry appear when audio is detected.

Guides Tab:

This feature provides quick links to popular online music services. Multiple websites for both online music and radio are listed. The zoom out button at the lower right lets you switch between the music and radio guides.

Settings Tab:

This tab includes the settings of the application which enables you to configure the application according to your needs. Settings includes 5 categories, running just below the Settings header in the main interface. Personalization, recording, output folder, Naming rules, Override Tag. If you want to return to the default settings, as shown below, press the curved arrow icon to reset to default at the top right.

Get Support Tab: Get Support gives ways to get more information on the software.

Right Context Menu:

You can right click any recording or select a recording and click the main menu button to see a menu including many useful options. This menu includes play, stop, delete, ID3 Tag Editor, import to itunes or windows media player, show in folder, combine, artwork, Lookup Tags, lyrics and properties.

Starting a Recording Session:

The program lets you record albums or any music you want. The process is very easy. Simply launch the program, then click “Record” in the Home menu. You will have the option to fill the music details such as title, artist and so on. Finally open the music player or the web browser you are using and start recording. After you finish click “Stop”. That’s all! The program will do everything for you. In addition, the program will save the file and tag it, get lyrics and can even send it to windows media player library if you select this option in the settings.

If you want to be sure that the application is working and recording your music, just look to the VU Meter which is present in the left bottom of the main screen. If you find it moving rapidly, then everything is right.

If you want to get the best result, it is recommended to start Replay Music first, THEN open the music player program or browser you're using. Also increase volume in the application you are recording from to the maximum.

You can also use the built in Guides Tab which provides you with quick links to popular online music services where you can record any music or album you like.

Tagging and Track Editing Information:

Sometimes the track is not properly tagged and not recognized by replay music. In this condition; you can easily correct this with the help of the program. You will be able to send a query to the music database to add the tag. Simply import the track or use drag and drop or keyboard insert to add the unrecognized track to the list then right click and select “Lookup Tags”. That’s all! Replay Music will tag it, get album artwork, and lyrics. If the album is newly released, it may not have been added to the music database yet.

View and manually edit track information (ID3 Tag Editor):

There are 4 tabs under ID3 Tag Editor; namely tag editor, artwork, lyrics and advanced.

Tag editor:
Using this built in feature, you can easily view and edit the information of any track you want. The process is very easy. All you have to do is to select a certain track, right click and select ID3 Tag editor. You can easily navigate between songs using the left and right arrows at the top sides.
You will be able to change any information you want.
You can select multiple files then click “Copy” button, the information (Artist, album, year, Genre) will be copied to all selected tracks.

Artwork:
If you want to see the identified album artwork, then simply click this tab. If you don't like the chosen artwork, you can easily change it using other choices at the bottom. If none is found, you can press Load to attach your own. If multiple files are selected, pressing the Copy button will apply the artwork to the whole selection.

Lyrics:
This tab will let you view downloaded lyrics for the song. If incorrect lyrics were found, you can easily search for alternate lyrics. This is done using search in the bottom.

Advanced tab provides more detailed information on the song.

Combining Tracks into Single Recording:

Sometimes an album is split and you need to combine its parts again into a single file. If this is the situation, then no problem, replay music will do it for you. All you have to do is to select the fragmented files then right click and select combine. The combine dialogue box appears. Place fragments into the correct order and choose a name for the new album then click combine.

Record External Resources:

You can also use Replay Music to record an external resource (for example cassette tapes, LPs and so on) to your computer. Simply connect the external device to the MIC or line in of your computer and change the audio recording settings of the program to Device. Finally click record and play external audio.

Settings:

The settings are highly configurable to make the program completely suitable for your needs.

Personalization:

This setting includes many options that will make the program completely personalized for you according to your needs. These options include; Delete to Recycle Bin, enable sound effects, Prompt on quit, Clear list on exit, always on Top, Use IE Proxy settings, start with small interface, import into WMP, import into iTunes, Auto resize columns, choose player based on file association, display progress alerts when minimized, minimize to Windows System Tray, Prevent sleep/hibernation.

Output Folder:

Using these settings, you can either leave the output folder to the default settings of the program or change it to any other folder. You can easily do this using the main toolbar icon or the small tab at the end of the output folder destination field. The program has an interesting feature that allows you to store the music files on your cloud space. Most of the common cloud services are enabled, for example; Microsoft onedrive, google drive, dropbox.

 Recording settings:

Audio recording settings: this option lets you choose either the application (default choice) or device (if you plan to record from an external device for example cassette, microphones..etc) or stereo mix which means recording anything you hear
Output format: the program supports most of the commonly used formats such as MP3, FLAC, M4A, WAV and so on
Bizrate: Choose the audio bitrate to record at. Higher values will result in better sounding recordings and larger file sizes.
Minimum duration in seconds
Amplification factor(grain), Peak Normalization, start audio recording on start, prompt when a configuration issue is detected, Record Silence, split on silence, silence time (before song is splitted), silence level.

Naming Rules:

This option includes; Duplicate naming rule (this rule to prevent overwriting if the program finds other file with the same name), ID3v2 Version, Enable ID3 Naming Rule, Lookup and tag music (audio recordings will be checked against an online music database for determining artist, album, song, and other information), Lookup artwork, Lookup lyrics, When files are tagged, apply the following naming rule (Using the listed, bracketed shorthand, files will be renamed based on the shorthand), Use application title as initial title, Artwork lookup, Lyrics lookup, Song lyrics.

Override Tags:

If you already know the Artist and Album information and want to override the automatic tagging and naming system. This option lets you enter information that will be applied to all of the recordings.
Clear overrides on exit: this option helps to clear the override artist, album, and genre settings after you close the app.
Prompt for overrides when recording: this option enables an asking prompt if you want to override automatic tagging.

Get Support Tab:

If your facing any problems with the program, then you will use this tab. There are two options which are OFF by default; debug mode and send anonymous analytics. You will need to turn both buttons on if you ask for help. The third button is ON by default and lets the application search for updates automatically.
