Now Let Me Discuss Its Main Features in More Details

Form filling:



This is an important tool that lets you add all your details needed in any PDF document. This will help you to easy fill the form, less paper to be used in printing and of course will save you a lot of time. There are two types of PDF documents interactive and non-interactive forms. The interactive form is specially prepared PDF which contains interactive elements like text boxes, buttons and lists. You will easily fill required information (for example add text, make selections and so on), save and print or send by email.
The non-interactive form is a traditional PDF form which needs to be printed and filled manually. Now you will no longer use this method. Infix PDF Editor lets you easily print your information using the built-in “T” tool.
When started in Form Filler mode, Infix offers simplified menus and toolbars for the
purpose of filling-in forms. In addition, no watermarks are added to the edited documents.

OCR corrections:





With the help of the program unique OCR function, you will be able to recognize text using OCR and if needed edit any scanned document so that you can easily do the corrections needed. Finally save the edited file. The process is very easy and of great help to you. To start this function open document menu and select recognize text(OCR) or OCR Corrections, start. You will be asked to confirm your choice to avoid any accidental changes to your documents. As an advice it is better to keep a backup copy of your scanned document before starting.

Converting PDF to other formats:

The program has a built-in tool that lets you easily convert PDF document into multiple formats. The process is very easy. Simply open your PDF file in infix PDF Editor, select export from the file menu then choose file page range you will convert. If you want to convert the whole document check “all”. Next, you will have to click “format” where you will have the options for converting both the text and the images. Finally select where you want to save the output file and start. That’s all!

Converting other documents to PDF:

Using the built in infix PDF printer, you can easily convert other documents to PDF. For example, you can convert word or power point document into PDF. All you have to do is to print the document then select infix printer as your preferred “printer”. You can adjust preferences using preferences, advanced (for example paper size and so on)

Joining multiple PDFs:



The program has a very interesting and useful built in tool that lets you add, arrange then join multiple PDF documents into single document. Simply select “Join” from the file menu, pop up window appear and lets you add the files you want to join, rearrange them using up and down orders and finally join. That’s all!

PDF photo albums:

The program lets you create a PDF document which will include all your photos as an album. All you have to do is to drag and drop any number of images onto Infix open window. The software will do everything for you. It will create a new a new PDF in which each page shows one of the images dropped.

Work Mode:



The program has three working modes: (the default mode is the “Editor”)

Viewer mode: PDF cannot be altered at all in this mode. The main value of this mode is that it lets you open any PDF documents using the program as any other PDF viewer without fear of accidental edits to your document. The only functions available in this mode are those associated with viewing

Edit mode: Normal editing mode in which all tools available. This mode lets you edit your document and do all the changes you need

Commenting mode: which lets you add and edit comments to your document. For example, sticky notes, highlights and so on.  This mode is important in many situations for example when you are doing a revision for a scientific article and you need to add some comments to the author.

Editing Graphics & Images:

The program has a lot of tools and features to help you easily edit images and graphics included in your PDF file. You will be able to select objects needed to edit. Then you can perform many actions, for example; stretching, scaling, rotating, aligning, hiding, grouping, changing colors, copying colors and many more.



You can also edit any image and perform many actions to suite your needs. For example, you can insert new image, replace image, redacting image, layout, borders and many more.



Infix Pro offers the kind of industry standard color pickers familiar to designers. The Swatches window lists all colors currently in use in the PDF, listing their values and color names as used in the document. A simpler, RGB picker is offered in the standard edition of Infix.

Editing Text:



First select the Text tool “T” from the tool bar. Then click on a block of text to begin editing.



The formatting bar and ruler will activate and a text box will be drawn around the text block being edited.
The program lets you add new; single-line text box at any time using “Creating new text boxes”



You can also use infix to edit text across columns. Infix can edit and reflow text across columns and pages. Simply link the columns together and begin editing. Infix reflows between any number of linked columns and even remembers the links the next time you edit the document using the software.  This is easily done using “text connect tool”. This feature is especially important in textbooks, journal articles and so on.
Infix will also enlarge the text box to ensure all your text will fit.



The program will help you to insert special characters that are difficult to be done using the keyboard. This can be simply done using “Character Palette “.
After editing it is useful to check the spelling of any new text added. The process is very simple. All you have to do is to select the “check spelling” from edit menu.  
Redacting text: Infix can be used to reliably redact text of a sensitive nature. A block of text can be rendered illegible to the extent that its original content no longer forms part of the page marking stream. The redaction style can be changed according to your wish (for example add special text, change color and so on). Please remember that once this is saved it will be permanent and cannot be undone.
Recognizing Text (Optical Character Recognition): Of course you have many PDF documents scanned and saved as a PDF files. If you need to edit these files, the process become easy using the OCR function that’s built in the program. Simply select the “Recognize text(OCR) “ from edit menu.

Formatting Text:

Infix PDF Editor lets you manage your PDF files easily as if you are working on your word document. You can format the text of the document you are editing. For example you can underline text, add strike-through, bold and italic font, line spacing, text spacing, paragraph spacing, adjust margins, ruler units, change text color and many more. You can simply do this with the help of the formatting toolbar.

Advanced Editing:

The program has many advanced edit tools. These include vertical text alignment, automatic text fitting, flowing text around graphics, rebuilding merging and splitting text boxes, remapping fonts, numbering pages, cloning or deleting objects across pages, edit tabular data and many more.

Find & Replace:



Use Infix to search and replace in every page of a PDF or restrict searches to specific pages or text styles. Sophisticated control over the text reflow done after each replacement ensures all changes made remain undetectable. Infix Pro also offers a batch mode for search and replace which can process hundreds of documents automatically. There's also a multi-lingual spell checker with support for more than 20 languages plus a "Find All" facility for cataloguing every occurrence of a phrase.
In that way, you can easily find & replace text, fonts, styles. You can also find and replace any word or text you want in bookmarks, comments, hyperlinks Text reflow modes and files. In addition, you will be able to find and redact a certain text so that all words are redacted at the same time saving your time and making your job easy.

Page Operations:

Infix PDF Editor has many interesting built-in tools that helps you to do many page operations. You can insert pages from other documents or even from a scanner. You can easily add water marks to your document, this watermark can be either text or logo, put in fore or background. You can easily adjust page margins and page labels. Many other features are also available such as cropping, reordering, resizing pages and inserting new pages.  All of the page manipulation functions can be found in the “Pages” under “Documents menu”. Many also appear on the thumbnail view’s toolbar.

Document Operations:

Infix PDF Editor help you to easily manage your documents. You can have information about your document using document propertied (properties under document menu). You can also assess security settings using document menu “ security”. You can track any changes done to the document. Infix can highlight text that has been modified during previous editing sessions. It
also records the date, author and page number of all changes made to PDFs. It helps in Portfolio Creation, adding, deleting and extracting items to a portfolio.

Commenting:

 

Using Infix you can add a range of comments to your documents including traditional sticky-notes, scribbles, text highlights, stamps and more. The handy comments panel enables you to quickly navigate to any note in the document. The panel groups them by page, author and comment type to make finding a particular note as fast as possible. All of the commenting tools supported by Infix are fully compatible with other PDF viewers.
The program also lets you add you signature to the document. You can also add sticky notes or user defined stamps. Using Infix you can automatically add bookmarks to a PDF as well as modify and delete existing bookmarks. These bookmarks allow readers to quickly navigate to specific places in a PDF and are especially helpful in long PDFs.

Translation:

Infix can export the text of a document, automatically tagging each paragraph with its original location. You can export a range of pages, individual stories or specific marked text boxes. This text can then be translated using any other software (e.g. Trados, Across TM, Déjà Vu, Google) and re-imported back into the document by Infix. As Infix imports the translated text, it uses tags embedded in the PDF during export to determine both the correct location and basic text styles of text being imported. If translated text is too long to fit into the original text boxes, Infix can subtly adjust its spacing to make it fit. It is very important to ensure the current spell-check language matches that of the text being exported. If it does not, soft-hyphens will not be correctly removed during export.

You can access the preferences of the program through file menu. There are a lot of options for editing, advanced editing, saving, spelling and loading. The settings are adjusted in the default that suits most users.
