New Windows 10 for PC Build Delayed Due to Last-Minute Bug
It is now expected to be released next week
Back in January, Microsoft made the fast Windows Insider ring even faster by pledging to release new builds of Windows 10 more frequently than before.
Since then, the company has been rolling out new builds almost every week, so it’s no surprise that everyone expected such a release these days too.
But as far as this week’s build is concerned, it has just got delayed because of a last-minute bug that Microsoft discovered when internally testing it, so the company has no other option than to hold it back. Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, has revealed on Twitter that the Windows team came across a bug, and they decided to delay the release until next week.
“We hit a problem with our PC build candidate for this week, so looks likely at this point it will be next week for next Fast ring PC build,” he says in his tweet.

While many might be upset that Microsoft isn’t releasing a new Windows 10 for PC build this week, everyone needs to understand that the purpose of the Windows Insider program is to provide us with access to early Windows features, but as long as no major bugs exist. Issues are something quite normal in this development stage, but they’re not supposed to be critical and make PCs unusable.
If buggy builds are rolled out to users, everyone is upset that the company breaks down their computers, although it’s clear from the very beginning that running Insider previews on a production machine is not recommended.
For the moment, the Windows Insider program is advancing quite nicely, and Microsoft can’t be anything but pleased with how this collaboration with users around the world is going. Many features of the OS are based on user feedback, and the same approach is adopted for other products too, including the Office productivity suite.
