Leds flashing 3 times - memory problem. (But that's not always true). HP advises to remove memory, clean slots, insert memory
If the fan was heavily dusted, then this is also an option

Check the grafics: Connect an additional screen to the laptop via an HDMI or VGA connector that is located
on the side or back of the laptop. After the system is rebooted, the external display is automatically recognized 
by the laptop. If this does not happen, you will need to switch between the primary and secondary monitor using 
a specific key combination. For HP on the keyboard, press Fn + F4.
If a white screen appears when turning on the monitor, the problem may be in the mechanical damage to the loop 
or its poor connection to the elements of the laptop. (For example after cleaning the fan)
Visually inspect the plume for mechanical damage

It is very similar to mechanical damage, because it happened just after cleaning the fan
