Almost all the software license EULA prohibits, rent, lease, loan, sell, resell, sublicense, distribute, transfer, etc without Vendor's authorization.
Yes, Personal giveaways too are license agreement violation.

I personally think, Vendors should care the license doesn't exceeds the number of activation or devices, they should not care the license is used by the owner or other persons.
Some vendors do transfer the license without issues. Some vendors provide an account and allow you to change the license data.
They very well know the provided services will be exploited or abused.
