Scenes





Scene is a set of overlays with customized settings. You can prepare a set of scenes then quickly switch them at any time even while you're playing game. Click to Scenes menu in the toolbar, this will launch the Scenes manager. There are many options to select from. You can load any scene, create a new scene, duplicate, delete or rename existing scene. You can bind a hotkey to a scene for fast scene loading.

Overlays is a core feature present only in PlayClaw. Overlays can be rendered to your game screen and the output . If you have only one display, then PlayClaw overlays are the only way to see Twitch and YouTube chats, System information, Teamspeak voice overlay, various timers and other useful information. It’s true to say that the facial recognition technology built into handsets has improved in recent years. And as it has become more reliable, more users are likely to use it as their primary method of unlocking a phone rather than having to remember a sequence of numbers or a password.
Forbes journalist Thomas Brewster wanted to find out just how well a variety of Android phones and a top-of-the-range Apple iPhone would fare against a determined attempt to break facial recognition.
And he did that by having a 3D-model printed of his head.
As Brewster explains, he engaged the services of a small British company in Birmingham to create a spooky life-size 3D print of his own head for just over £300.
For the price, it’s an impressive likeness, but it’s not enough to fool any human into thinking they are looking at the real Thomas Brewster.
But could a smartphone be fooled?
To find out, Brewster registered his own (real) face with five different phones: An iPhone X, an LG G7 Linq, a Samsung S9, a Samsung Note 8 and a OnePlus 6.
With facial recognition setup, all he had to do was see if his fake head would be convincing enough to unlock the devices.
Rather worryingly (if someone has managed to make a 3D-printed version of your head), all four Android phones were duped into thinking they were looking at the real Tom. Only the iPhone X wasn’t duped.
It’s certainly impressive to see Apple’s iPhone X not be tricked by Thomas Brewster’s fake head, and it may surprise owners of Android smartphones who have had at best mixed experiences with facial recognition.
From this test at least, it would appear that the efforts made by Apple’s engineers to develop its “TrueDepth” camera technology (which uses more than 30,000 infrared dots to scan your face in 3D) has paid off.
It’s worth pointing out that some of the Android phones were easier to unlock than others, (The LG, for instance, proved trickier to unlock, as it required a little more effort in finding the combination of lighting and angles.) but that’s not something that is going to in any way deter a determined intruder from breaking into your device.
What is somewhat encouraging is that there are alerts displayed by some of the Android devices when the user attempts to enable facial recognition, warning that the feature can actually make your phone less secure.
The LG G7 Linq, for instance, warns that similar faces can be used to unlock it:
Face recognition is a secondary unlock method that results in your phone being less secure.
Meanwhile, the Samsung S9 displayed the following warning:
“Your phone could be unlocked by someone or something that looks like you. If you use facial recognition only, this will be less secure than using a pattern, PIN or password.”
No-one may be planning to make a life-size 3D-printed version of your head, but you should still take the warnings of the manufacturers seriously.
If you want to keep your device secure, you may be sensible not to put all of your eggs in one basket but instead treat facial recognition as a secondary unlock feature that should be used alongside (rather than instead of) a password or fingerprint.

The Office of Inspector General issued a report, published on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) website earlier this week, that details how well US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents have been following standard operating procedures for searching travelers’ electronic devices, as authorized by the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 (TFTEA). The findings: not so great. CBP agents are allowed to carry out warrantless device searches at all 328 ports of entries in the US: they’re allowed to manually – i.e., visually – inspect travelers’ phones, laptops, tablets, thumb drives or other electronic devices as they look for content related to terrorism, child abuse imagery, or other material that smells of the criminal. Beyond that, in a pilot program launched in 2007 in 67 ports, they’re also allowed to copy device data onto a USB thumb drive and upload it on a platform called an Automated Targeting System (ATS) so they can carry out more complex searches on travelers’ data. The OIG found quite a few standard operating procedure (SOP) SNAFUs besides the unwiped drives, and they’re laying the blame on the CBP’s Office of Field Operations (OFO), which handles training manuals and conducts training sessions.

One SOP that’s unfortunately not all that standard: agents aren’t always turning off the internet access of the devices they search. That’s a no-no, since search is supposed to be restricted to only the data that’s physically on the device, not information stored on a remote server who knows where. In fact, even after an April 2017 memo was issued that required documentation of network connections having been disabled prior to a search, the OIG found that more than one-third – 14 out of 40 – searches had no documentation of internet access having been turned off, leaving the results of the searches “questionable.” And that’s when the CBP could manage to carry out any searches at all: a situation that came to a grinding halt when…Oops – I forgot to renew the license for the search software! According to the report, it’s up to the OFO to manage the equipment used to search electronic devices. Well, somebody dropped the ball on that one: some manager somewhere forgot to renew the annual software license for the search equipment on time.

Last week Canada arrested an executive of China's leading Huawei telecommunications company at the request of the United States, which plans to charge her with fraud charges related to sanctions-breaking business dealings with Iran. China has responded in kind, detaining a former Canadian diplomat, Michael Kovrig, who is now a China expert at the International Crisis Group security consultancy.

Moreover, Washington is expected this week to unveil new charges against Chinese military and intelligence hackers as it seeks to counter what is seen as a broad-based, sustained cyber threat against US government and corporate targets from Beijing. On Wednesday, it also slapped a $2.8 million penalty on a Chinese energy company, Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group, for violating US sanctions by shipping US-made equipment to Iran.

The Marriott hackers, who stole detailed data on some 500 million customers of the world's largest hotel company, are believed to have been working for China's Ministry of State Security. Washington sees them as part of an espionage effort that has targeted health insurers and the US civil service employment database. Marriott revealed on November 30 that cyber-thieves had been in the systems of its Starwood brand since 2014, which Marriott took over two years later.It uncovered the breach in September and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is understood to be investigating the matter.

In the past week, Marriott has sent out emails to customers who had used its systems alerting them that their data may have been stolen.
For more than 60 percent of the customers, the data stolen included passport information, addresses, their travel details, and credit card details.
The company said that the credit card data was protected by two decryption components, but added: "at this point, Marriott has not been able to rule out the possibility that both were taken."

Separately, a new report from computer security company McAfee said their researchers had uncovered a new global effort by hackers to infiltrate the computer systems of nuclear, defense, energy and financial companies. "In October and November 2018, the Rising Sun implant has appeared in 87 organizations across the globe, predominantly in the United States," the company said. It said initial indications were that the hackers were North Korean, but also suggested the possibility that the identifiers in the malware that pointed to Pyongyang may have been a "false flag" to distract researchers from the true source.
